Ascari

Fantastic Factory Visit

Arranged by John Brennand

Friday 23rd March 2007

Well, What do we know about Ascari? Not a lot, briefly, they were established in Dorset in 1995 and moved to new facilities in Banbury in 2000 where they developed their second car the Ascari KZ1. All of the racing facilities were transferred to Banbury at the same time to form one homogenous unit. The Banbury factory is a modern state of the art facility containing research and development, design and production resources. The KZ1 is a road-going sports car based on racing technology; the dream is a reality, 5 litres of V8 engine and an exhaust note to die for!

As John F Kennedy said "We need a man who can dream ............................"

It is true that pictures are worth a thousand words except when it comes to saying 'Thank You' when there is no alternative. 17 appreciative visitors to Ascari would like to say a very big 'Thank You' to Jason, Financial Controller, and Brian, Development Engineer, for giving us a privileged insight in to GT3 racing cars and their preparation.

Out takes............. as they say on TV
