Sunday 6 th June
Area 15 Day at Tatton Park Classic and Sports Car Show in Cheshire.Another great day at Tatton Park, the weather could have been kinder, though the rain did not deter many people as there was an excellent attendance.
Peter Marsland, Steve Liver and David Clayton made a significan impact on the days procedings by being awarded a collection of much sought after trophies, well done!
Peter is convinced that his lovely 1977 Jaguar XJ 4.2C always does well in bad weather thinking the raindrops cloud the judges judgment as he once won 1st place in 1990 on a very wet day! (Ed. I don't think that's right Peter, I seem to recall it , and yourself, have picked up many admiring glances and trophies over the years!)

To give the car its sunday title, is otherwise known as a Series 2 Coupe. Peter justifiably won the Cheshire Cats Day XJ Series Award, from JDC Area 15, and from the Show organisers, 3rd Place Best Jaguar. Not a bad days reward there Peter, makes all that hard work worthwhile.

Steves Jaguar is a Series 3 E Type V12 covertible gaining a commendable overall 2nd place from the Show organisers, plus of course, a large Car of the Day trophy from Area 15.

Also David Clayton won the Mark 11 Area 15 class with his 3.8. Unfortuneately I don't gave a picture at the moment but ............... perhaps I will have soon!
David's trophy is probably one of these too!
