The anticipation exceeded the realisation though it was an experience I wouldn't have missed and on a clear sunny day it would be a whole lot different!
The Ribblehead archaeological site tour is well worth taking. Learn how the navvies lived and built the massive structure. Visit the Batty Green Shanty Town, the site of the hospital, the narrow guage tramway and the locomotive maintenance shed.
