White Tower Restaurant and 'Hot Ice' and ice skating spectacular
Seventeen 'No Name Diners' took to the road once more to make a second visit to what many must think is 'Sin City' but in truth it is hard to find more sophistication anywhere in the UK that has the edge on Blackpool's White Tower Restaurant, The Pleasure Beach whose attractions are truly second to none worldwide and as for the 'shows', well this is our second visit when we saw 'Hot Ice' a fast and skillful display of skating and dancing on ice; plans are well advanced for a visit in 2008 to see 'Forbidden' featuring a bevvy of beautiful, exotic women dancers! It is true to say the clientele leaves something to be desired the longer the sun has been in the assent and even more in it's decent, but all in all a splendid place to be separated from ones money!
Our numbers were depleted on this occasion due to Jennifer and Peter being unable to attend because of Jennifer's major surgery to have a new knee joint fitted, both are confident of being back with us for the Christmas 'No Name Dinner' in December. Similarly, John and Bron couldn't be with us due to holidays which comprised a cruise across the Bay of Biscay and a two night stop-over drive down the full length of Spain to Malaga in their new Jaguar 'S' Type!
Here are some of the pictures of the evening

This was the scene whilst trying to find where our tickets had been left for collection

Passing the giant water fall whilst being redirected to a new collection point!

Returning to join the party

In the White Tower restaurant

Dinner is served!

Now for the spectacular!!!

At this point the taking of pictures was stopped!
A warming drink was called for at the interval

Gosh, they do look cold!
A few quick snaps of the 'rides' and 'lights'

Now for the finale photo shoot

Well, thats it! I think it is true to say everyone enjoyed it, my meal was absolutely fabulous, and apart from the leg room in the show I thought it was well worth a visit and to date I haven't had any complaints! I'm working on the basis of no news is good news!
Bye for now
